First Visit
For your first appointment you will be given an intake form to fill out. Once that is completed, I will bring you into the massage room and we will discuss the goal of the massage. I will answer any questions you may have. Then I will step outside of the room to give you time to undress to your level of comfort. You will lay on the massage table, covered by a sheet and a blanket. I will knock before entering the room.

The most important part of massage is that you feel comfortable. Whether that means being fully dressed, partially undressed, or completely undressed, it is up to you. Some patients bring specific clothes to wear while getting a massage, that includes shorts that are loose and comfortable to lay in and Shirts that can easily be moved off the shoulders.

During the massage the pressure should never be painful, there will be times or certain areas that might "hurt so good" or be sore for a second then feel better; that is acceptable. If the pressure is at a point that feels painful or your body is tensing against it then let your therapist know so the pressure can be adjusted. Communication is important.
